Having the opportunity to spend 3 weeks painting is so wonderful. And being able to spend that time with another like-minded artist is even better. Anne Corlett and I spent three weeks last spring in Rome, Monteleone Sabino and Nepi, Italy. It was three weeks of total art immersion. Art everywhere! Delicious and sustaining food and wine. The emerging spring all around us, and hardly a drop of rain the entire time.
We’ve gathered together the work we did on the trip as well as larger studio pieces that came about as a result of the plein air paintings. Please join us for this exhibit of our travels and discoveries.
Anne’s daughter, Jane Wiley spent a year living and working and drawing and photographing in Hawaii. She is joining this exhibit with her work: “How Do I Name What Chokes Me’, Drawings and Photographs from Hawaii.
