We’ve been having lovely early fall weather here in northern Michigan. I’ve started a series at the old State Hospital Grounds, now Grand Traverse Commons. I’ve painted over there before….I love the warm pale yellow brick of the buildings, especially in the fall. I’ll dig into the plein air studies over the next month or so and will post images as they emerge.
Here’s a detail from a painting from today, Saturday, September 28. While the light didn’t look much like summer light, the temperatures sure did!
